Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education is a transformative force in the Society 5.0 era, yet AI literacy among vocational ICT teachers in Indonesia remains low, particularly in areas with limited technology access such as Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This activity aimed to improve the AI literacy and pedagogical readiness of 51 ICT teachers in the local Teachers' Working Group (MGMP) through a three-week mentoring program comprising orientation, a workshop, practice, and evaluation. Using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, results showed a significant increase in mean scores from 83.51 to 92.10 (Z = 4.287; p < 0.001; Cohen's d = 0.68). Participant perceptions were highly positive (mean 4.68/5), with benefits including greater AI awareness, easier material preparation, and improved learning efficiency, despite constraints such as unstable internet. Findings confirm that practice-based AI mentoring strengthens vocational teachers' digital literacy and supports adaptive learning in the Society 5.0 era.
